Former Glee star Mark Salling has been indicted for receiving and possessing child pornography.
The disgraced actor was arrested on 29 December (15) after police officers raided his home in Sunland, California following a a tip-off, and allegedly discovered "thousands" of inappropriate images on his personal devices, which were seized.
He was taken into custody following the bust by the Los Angeles Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force unit and released after posting $20,000 (£13,700) bail.
According to TMZ.com, Salling has been indicted on two counts of receiving and possessing child pornography.
If he is convicted, Salling will face up to 20 years in prison for receiving child pornography and 20 years for possessing it.
His December arrest was not his first brush with the law - he paid an ex-girlfriend $2.7 million (GBP1.8 million) for knocking her to the ground after she confronted him with a charge of sexual battery.

Meanwhile, his professional life is up in the air following his arrest. Mark filmed a role in upcoming movie Gods and Secrets, opposite Twilight stars Jackson Rathbone and Kellan Lutz, Denise Richards and Breaking Bad star R.J. Mitte, before the controversy, and the movie's director, Adi Shankar, vowed to stand by the embattled actor until the allegations against him were confirmed.
He told TheWrap.com, "I'm going to wait for all the facts to arrive and if in fact these allegations are true, I will immediately take action, which includes removing his scenes from the project."
Salling portrayed football-playing punk-turned-singer Noah 'Puck' Puckerman on Glee and appeared on the show throughout its six-year run from 2009 to 2015. In total, the actor showed up in 96 episodes of the popular musical TV series.
