LAS VEGAS (AP) — A star of the reality TV show “Pawn Stars” has agreed to a plea deal sparing him jail time in the discovery of guns, marijuana and other drugs at his Las Vegas home.
Austin Lee Russell, who’s known on the show as “Chumlee,” pleaded guilty May 25 to felony weapon and misdemeanor attempted drug possession charges.
The unannounced appearance last week before Clark County District Court Judge Jessie Walsh made a scheduled Wednesday court date unnecessary.
Russell has to undergo counseling and complete three years’ probation to get the felony charge dismissed. That would leave just the misdemeanor conviction on his record.
Russell was arrested March 9 after police found weapons, pot, anxiety medication and some methamphetamine at his home.
